Russian society is frequently described from above, in geopolitical language, but everyday experience is mediated by schools, housing, transport networks, healthcare access, local government, media, and the differences between Moscow, regional capitals, industrial towns, and remote settlements.
Cities matter enormously. So do demographic patterns, migration, inequality, and public services. A strong society section should connect those daily realities to larger institutional design rather than discussing โnational characterโ in the abstract.
